    As result of the elections that concluded on August 31, 2018, the following board of officers and directors has been elected for the 2018-19 academic year: 
    • President: Tom Rozinski (Touro College)

    The location for the Pre-Law Advisors National Council (PLANC) Conference for 2020 has been released.

    The conference will be held in New Orleans, Louisiana during the week of June 8 through June 12 at the Intercontinental Hotel. Official conference days during that week have not yet been decided.

    Please Note: Quinnipiac’s North Haven campus is completely tobacco free.  This is inclusive of all buildings, the grounds and parking areas.  There are no designated smoking areas.

    On Tuesday, June 19, NAPLA will host its first-ever panel of five law school deans during the conference. They are Nick Allard from Brooklyn, Mary Lu Bilek from CUNY, Harry Ballan from Touro, Jennifer Brown from Quinnipiac, and Eric Mitnick from UMass. Don't miss it.

    If you haven't registered yet, you still have time. We are extending registration until May 31 at the same rates as before. The Best Western has agreed to keep its hotel block open (at $99/night) until June 4. Both New Haven hotels have rooms left but the discounts expire today.

    We are delighted to have as our keynote speaker Hon. Maria Araujo Kahn, Justice, Connecticut Supreme Court. She is a 1989 graduate of Fordham Law School, a NAPLA member. UConn Law School Dean Timothy Fisher and Connecticut State Bar Association President Karen DeMeola will also speak at the dinner. Don't miss it!

    The 2019 NAPLA Conference will take place in Boston from Tuesday, June 18 through Friday, June 21. The 2020 Conference will be administered by PLANC and the location has not yet been chosen.
