NAPLA will again offer scholarships of up to $1,000 to Pre-Law Advisors who wish to attend the 2018 NAPLA Conference at Quinnipiac School of Law, but whose institutions are unable or unwilling to provide funding for conference expenses. This scholarship can be used to help defray the costs of attending the conference, including conference registration fee (NAPLA one-year membership fee included), overnight accommodations at the Best Western Plus, and transportation.
All pre-law advisors who are NAPLA members are eligible to apply for a conference scholarship, BUT these grants are intended to provide assistance to those pre-law advisors whose institutions cannot or will not provide funding for conference expenses. Scholarships are awarded based upon available funds and the number of qualified applicants. If awarded a conference scholarship, the recipient will need to retain receipts for expenses incurred for conference registration and qualifying transportation. All scholarship recipients must stay in the Best Western Plus since it is the lowest-price hotel (and the most convenient). These receipts will then need to be submitted to NAPLA, along with an expense form, at which time expenses up to the value of the scholarship awarded will be reimbursed. Reimbursement generally takes up to three weeks from receipt of completed expense forms.
Completed applications must include two documents. Both documents MUST be complete and received by the application deadline in order to be considered for a conference scholarship.
Applications are not yet available. When they become available, a deadline will be announced.
